Endings and Beginnings

This is dedicated to my “Sista Sojourners”. You know who you are and i love you all! This is also for those of you who are considering the journey-just take that first step of faith and commit your ways to the Lord(Psalm 37:5)                                                                                                                                                                                                                      The journey has not ended, it has only just begun…The road we were on was not taking us where we wanted to be. So when we came to that place of decision we had to ask ourselves if we would continue in the way we knew or if we would dare to try a new way. Complacency told us that the road really wasn’t that bad. All we needed was a new pair of shoes! Fear made us tremble by telling us we would become stranded and alone on a road of pain and rejection if we went another way. These things we pondered for some time. It was in our despair that Truth spoke, “There is a better way. Walk in it.” (Isaiah 30:21) How could we deny that Voice? It was gentle yet strong; stern but loving. The first step wasn’t easy but Hope encouraged us along the way. Grace cheered us on. When we stumbled other travelers would come beside us and remind us that we were not alone. We had each other, we had our Protector and He had us! When we cried our Protector comforted us. (Psalm 121) When we wandered we called on His name and He rescued us. (Psalm 107:4-6) He would then lovingly correct us and we were better because of it. He never sent us somewhere without going ahead of us and equipping us. (Numbers 14:14, Hebrews 13:20-21) Our Protector was always with us along the weary way, never did He abandon us. The path behind has made us stronger because God used it to build us up and give us wings to soar. (Isaiah 40:31) Now He wants us to help others as they travel the path to healing. He also wants you to know He will always be with you to the very end. (Hebrews 13:5b)
